Background |

On July 1, 1966 Herbert A. Bregman backed by the Boston firm of Braman & Company purchased Harry Wunsch CPA in Port Chester New York. Harry Wunsch retired. The firm changed its name to Braman Wunsch & Company, Braman Bregman & Company and ultimately Bregman & Company P.C. in 1977.
Bregman & Company P.C. opened its first Stamford office in 1967. In 1971 the firm closed its Port Chester office (maintaining the telephone number) and expanded its Stamford office.
On September 1, 1986 Owen W. Bregman joined the firm after working for various other CPA firms in Washington D.C. and New York City. |

Owen W. Bregman |

Owen Bregman has over twenty-five years experience in public accounting. He received his B.B.A. degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a registered investment advisor with LPL Financial. Owen Bregman is designated as accredited in business valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has served and continues to serve as an officer and director on numerous charitable organizations in Fairfield County.

Herbert Bregman is the founding partner of our firm. He received his B.S. degree from Notheastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of the Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York Societies of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a former director and organizer of Patriot National Bank. He has served and continues to serve as an officer and director on numerous charitable organizations in Stamford.
